Derek Korte

Derek Korte is a managing editor with a robust background in journalism and content strategy, currently serving as a Senior Manager/Managing Editor at Freshworks since 2023. Previously, Derek held the position of Director of Editorial Operations at Message Lab from 2019 to 2023, where they established content operations and managed editorial programs for global companies. Derek's early experiences include internships at the Post-Bulletin Co., LLC and the Lawrence Journal-World, along with roles at LaunchSquad and Original9 Media, where they led PR, communications, and editorial campaigns. Derek graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, complemented by a co-major in International Studies and additional studies at Uppsala University in Swedish literature and politics.
