Diego Guadalupe Ventura Ortega

Diego Guadalupe Ventura Ortega is a proficient mine geologist currently working at FRESNILLO PLC since February 2021, where responsibilities include coordination, resource allocation, and oversight in the geology-production area at La Herradura, one of Mexico's largest open-pit gold mines. Prior experience includes roles as an exploration geologist at Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd. and as a scholar at Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, where expertise in geological logging and the operation of petrographic microscopes was developed. Diego also gained experience with geological mapping and mineralized structure recognition at Servicio Geológico Mexicano. Initial training as an underground mine geologist was conducted at Penoles Industries. Diego holds a degree in geological engineering from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, obtained in 2019.
