Bao Johri

Bao Johri is the current VP, Information Technology & Chief Information Officer at Fresno State. Previously, Johri was at California State University-Sacramento as the Associate Vice President of Planning and Digital Transformation & Deputy Chief Information Officer from April 2018 to January 2022. There, Johri fostered innovation, prioritized technology initiatives, and collaborated with campus partners to further university strategic and operational goals.

Johri has also provided leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the overall information systems and technology architecture. Bao has partnered with students, faculty, and staff to provide essential information technology services that support mission-critical activities and innovative technology solutions.

Johri has also provided day to day operational leadership in all functional areas of IRT and ensured efficient utilization of available resources and high quality of all support services by maintaining an efficient organizational structure and by supporting ongoing IT staff development and training. Prior to that, Johri worked at SMUD from January 2016 to December 2018 as Business Process Support / Information Technology Supervisor.

Bao Johri has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University-Sacramento, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University-Sacramento with a focus in Business Administration and Management, Information Systems, and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from California State University-Sacramento. Bao Johri also has certification from EDUCAUSE as a Certified Senior Director Leadership, certification from Prosci as a Certified Change Manager, certification from Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Master, and certification from PMI as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
