Rasmus Lykke Marvig

Rasmus Lykke Marvig is an accomplished expert in microbial genomics and bioinformatics, currently serving as the Head of Microbial Genomics and Head of Bioinformatics at Rigshospitalet since October 2013. Marvig's extensive experience includes roles as a Bioinformatics Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Scientist, focusing on the analysis of human and microbial genomes for infectious disease diagnostics and the evolution of microbial populations during infection. In addition to active positions, Marvig contributes as a Strategic Advisory Board Member and Scientific Advisor at Freya Biosciences and previously advised the Danish National Genome Center on personalized medicine infrastructure. Marvig's academic credentials include a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Denmark, alongside a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School. Educating future generations, Marvig has also engaged as a Novo Science Ambassador and held various research and teaching positions at renowned institutions such as MIT and Harvard Medical School.
