Jan van der Mooren

Jan van der Mooren has a long and varied work experience. In 2022, they were appointed Chief Medical Officer at Freya Pharma Solutions and founded ATHINA Consultancy B.V. Prior to that, they were Senior Director R&I Governance, Communication & Excellence and Senior Director Nutricia Research Center at Danone Nutricia Research from 2005. From 1995 to 2005, they were Associate Professor at VU University Medical Center and from 1990 to 1995 they were Senior Clinical Researcher at UMCN St Radboud.

Jan van der Mooren obtained a Medical Doctor degree from Radboud University between 1981 and 1989, followed by a PhD in Gynaecological Endocrinology from the same university between 1990 and 1994. In 2004, they completed a Master of Science in Epidemiology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).
