Allison Akright

Allison Akright has a diverse range of work experience across various industries. Allison started their career as a Summer Intern at Kossuth Connections in 2010 and went on to work as a Work-Study Student at the University of Iowa Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity from 2009 to 2012. Allison then served as a Sales Associate at Pier 1 Imports in 2012 and worked as a Medical Receptionist at North Liberty Family Health Centre from 2012 to 2013. Allison also gained experience as a Legal Assistant at South & Associates, P.C. from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as a Loan Specialist II for a brief period. Allison then moved on to roles at R.L. Fridley Theatres, Inc., first as an Advertising and Media Coordinator from 2014 to 2022, and currently as a Marketing Director. Additionally, they taught Digital Photography as an instructor at the Des Moines Art Center starting from 2015, with their role still ongoing. Allison also worked as a Digital Photo Lab Monitor at the University of Iowa Studio Arts from 2011 to 2012. Throughout their career, Allison has shown adaptability and a strong work ethic.

Allison Akright pursued their education from 2008 to 2012 at the University of Iowa. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors degree, specializing in Photography and Sociology.
