Alexander Hanzl is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, focusing on drug action on transcription factors under the supervision of Nico Thomä. Previously, Alexander held a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at CeMM, where research centered around drug mode-of-action in oncology in Georg Winter's lab. Alexander's academic journey includes a PhD in Molecular Medicine from the Medical University of Vienna and a Master's degree in Technical Chemistry, specializing in Biotechnology and Bioanalytics, from Technische Universität Wien. Additionally, experience as a consultant was gained at icons, and earlier research included significant roles in investigating histone variants and methylation processes.
