Giorgia Guglielmi, PhD, is a seasoned science writer and communications professional with extensive experience in the fields of life science, biomedicine, and science policy. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Manager at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research since February 2021, Giorgia leads the communications team and drives the institute's communications strategy, focusing on shaping its image and developing impactful content. Giorgia has contributed editorials and articles for prestigious publications, including Nature and Science, and has held roles at Springer Nature and Science Magazine. With a robust educational background in biology and science writing, Giorgia has published research and mentored aspiring communicators while also chairing the EU-LIFE Working Group on Science Communication.
