CEO at Friendly Robots Company

Xiao Xiao has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They started their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley in 2003, where they worked until 2008. In 2009, Xiao joined BAE Systems as a Sr. Simulation Engineer before moving on to Pacific Biosciences the same year to work as a Software Integration and Verification Engineer. From 2011 to 2012, Xiao worked at Ekso Bionics as a Controls Engineer. They then joined Apple in 2012, where they held various roles including Machine Learning Algorithm Engineer, Indoor and Outdoor Location Algorithms Engineer, and Inertial Sensing and Biomechanics Algorithms Engineer. Xiao worked at Apple until 2017, when they joined Cruise Automation as a Staff Data Scientist for a year. In 2018, Xiao became a Co-Founder of the Friendly Robots Company, and in 2019, they became the CEO of the company. Alongside their role at Friendly Robots Company, Xiao also worked as a Guest Lecturer at UC Berkeley College of Engineering in 2019.

Xiao Xiao's education history began in 1999 when they attended the University of California, Berkeley. They pursued a Ph.D. and B.S. degree in Automatic Control Systems, Dynamics, and Random Processes. Their studies in this field continued until 2008. In 2007, Xiao Xiao briefly attended the University of Sydney, focusing on topics such as Probabilistic Robotics, SLAM, and Bayesian Inference. Although their degree name during this time is not specified, it can be inferred that they gained valuable knowledge in these subjects.
