Lauren Bechtel

Lauren Bechtel is an experienced advocacy professional and climate activist, currently serving as an Advocacy Corps Organizer for the Friends Committee on National Legislation since August 2015, where responsibilities include recruiting volunteers, lobbying, and organizing visits with Congress members. Concurrently, Lauren is a Climate Fellow with Young Evangelicals for Climate Action, leading meetings and events focused on environmental issues within the Evangelical community. Additionally, Lauren acts as an intern in the Off Campus Studies Office at Houghton College, handling logistics and communication regarding study abroad programs. Lauren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Development Economics and International Development, Biology, and Political Science from Houghton University, completed between 2013 and 2016, and is a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, class of 2012.
