CFO at Friends For Life

Scott Welch is the current CFO at Friends For Life. Prior to this, they were the Deputy Director of the Aviation Maintenance Training Program at Spartan Air Academy Iraq LLC from January 2019 to January 2020. From August 2018 to September 2018, they worked as a commercial salmon fisherman for F/V Transition. Scott has also owned their own business, Aviation Maintenance Services, providing FAA A&P/IA Maintenance Services to General Aviation Aircraft from October 2013 to September 2016. Additionally, Welch has been an adjunct professor at Northwestern Michigan College from September 2011 to May 2013 and an aircraft mechanic for Mountain High Aviation from April 2002 to April 2006. Lastly, they served as an aircraft maintenance officer in the U.S. Coast Guard from June 1986 to October 2016.

Scott Welch's educational career includes a BS in Aviation Engineering Technology from Purdue University, a MS in Quality Systems Management from The National Graduate School of Quality Management (NGS), and various certifications from the FAA in Inspection Authorization, Private Pilots License, and Air Frame & Power Plant (A&P). Additionally, they have a certification from PADI in Open Water Diver.
