David Merin is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in graphic design, art direction, and brand management. Currently serving as Design Coordinator and Department Head at Friends-International since December 2012, Merin oversees design operations across eight countries, leads a team through coaching and mentoring, and manages various branding and marketing initiatives. Previous roles include Senior Graphic Designer at Healthfirst, Designer at ?Whatif! Innovation Partners, Production Assistant/Videographer at Embrionyc, Art Director/Graphic Designer at The New York Academy of Medicine, and Graphic Designer at Wine & Spirits Magazine. Merin holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications from Pratt Institute and has consistently demonstrated a commitment to quality and innovation throughout a diverse career.

Friends-International works with marginalised urban children and youth, their families and communities to become functional, productive citizens of their country. To achieve this, Friends-International builds best practice services for marginalized children and youth to save lives and build futures (Friends Alliance), which are supported by strong business models (Friends Vocational Training Businesses). We are only effective if we work in partnership with other organizations (ChildSafe Alliance) and we need to involve everyone in the communities and society to protect children (ChildSafe Movement). We now run and support projects in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and Switzerland.
