Gracie W. has diverse experience across various roles in hospitality, media, and arts education. Currently a Barista and Waitress at Marigold Kitchen since July 2019, Gracie also contributes as a Videographer for the UW-Madison Division of the Arts, filming and editing arts events. With a background in broadcasting as a Radio DJ for WSUM 91.7 FM Madison, Gracie hosts a music show called The Stanza. Previous positions include Cashier/Stocker at Jenifer Street Market, Features Editor at The Daily Cardinal, and Writing Editor for ALT Magazine, where Gracie focused on representing diversity in fashion. Early experience includes tutoring children through the Rebecca's Garden Tutoring Program and serving as an Assistant Teacher at Wild Rumpus Circus Camp, alongside co-founding and performing with Cirque Fou. Gracie is pursuing an English degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, having graduated from Monona Grove High School.
WSUM 91.7 FM Madison
WSUM is the student-run freeform radio station at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With over 200 active members, WSUM is one of the country’s largest college radio stations and serves more than 197,000 listeners per year through 24/7/365 programming on its FM signal and internet radio streams. The station’s mission is to act in a service and outreach capacity to the people of Madison, to provide an educational environment for students of UW-Madison, and to be an alternative source of information and entertainment to our campus and community.
