Nick Bumgardner

Nick Bumgardner is a Senior Staff Writer at The Daily Cardinal, covering state news and politics, with experience at the Wisconsin State Capitol. Serving as a Radio Host on WSUM 91.7 FM, Nick promotes alternative rock artists and contributes to sports talk. Nick's role as a Legislative Intern for Rep. Kristina Shelton involved legislative research, constituent correspondence, and event organization. Previously, Nick worked as a Talent Buyer for the Wisconsin Union Directorate Music Committee, scouted national acts, and negotiated contracts. Additional experience includes writing for The Press Times and working as a Childcare Worker at SAINT JOSEPH SCHOOL INC. Nick is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, following graduation from Notre Dame Academy.
