Chris Gordon-Smith

Chris Gordon-Smith is an experienced environmental researcher and modeller currently with Friends of the Earth since November 2014, where notable contributions include using digital map processing for the Green Space Gap report, which mapped green space availability across England. Previously, Chris held significant roles at Maersk Line from 2006 to June 2013, including Enterprise Data Architect, where the Enterprise Logical Data Model was established for master data management, and Application and Data Architect, focusing on architectural governance and strategic data solutions. Earlier career experience includes design and architecture leadership at P&O Nedlloyd from 2000 to 2006 and specialized roles in requirement specification and simulation at Logica, Sema, and Scicon from 1977 to 1996. Chris Gordon-Smith holds an MSc in Astronomy from the University of Sussex and a BSc Hons. in Physics from Durham University.
