Friends of the High Line
Asima Jansveld serves as the Chief Program and Engagement Officer and Managing Director of the High Line Network, leading initiatives to transform underutilized infrastructure into urban landscapes that foster equitable social, economic, and environmental benefits. Previously held roles include Principal at HR&A Advisors, where strategic partnerships addressed the social and economic impacts of policies, and Programme Manager at the European Urban Knowledge Network, facilitating knowledge exchange among EU member states. As Vice President of Development at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Asima led major economic development initiatives and planning efforts in New York City. Early career experience includes managing environmental analysis at ATC Associates Inc. Asima holds a Master’s in Environmental Planning and Policy from New York University and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the University of Virginia.
