Maria Jirau-Torres is a therapist with experience in providing support and empowerment to victims and survivors of domestic violence. Maria is a bilingual trauma informed therapist and has worked as a Language Access Coordinator. Maria also has experience in administrative support roles and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Human Service Counseling.

Friendship House provides programs and services that enhance the emotional, behavioral and social well-being of children and families. Our programs are child-centered, family focused and incorporate a systematic approach to helping through the Sanctuary® model of trauma-informed care. All services are designed to provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for children, from early learners to young adults and their families, to grow, heal, and learn in every aspect of their social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
