Candice Tolliver Burns

Candice Tolliver Burns is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across educational organizations. Currently serving as a Strategic Advisor to the CEO at Friendship Public Charter School since December 2022, Candice also holds a position as a Board Member at Imagination Stage, Inc. Prior roles include Chief Communications Officer at IDEA Public Schools and Friendship Public Charter School, as well as Principal at The GROUP. Candice's prior experience includes serving as the Director of Strategic Communications for the U.S. DOT under the Obama Administration. Candice holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Georgia State University and a Graduate Certification from the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Charter School Institute.
