Sebastian Herfurth

Sebastian Herfurth co-founded and served as managing director at friendsurance starting in 2010. Sebastian was a member of the Kuratorium at DEFINO Institut für Finanznorm AG beginning in 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from 2008 to 2009.

Sebastian Herfurth obtained their first degree, a Dipl.-Jur., in Law from The University of Bonn in the years 1998 to 2002. Sebastian continued their education and pursued an LLM in Law at The University of Hong Kong from 2002 to 2003. After completing their LLM, they went on to The University of Bonn once again, where they obtained a Dr. iur. degree in Financial Law from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, Sebastian briefly attended Renmin University of China, where they studied Chinese.
