Jonathan Norris has a diverse work experience in various positions. Jonathan is currently working as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Frist Art Museum since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and the Vice President (VP) of Development at Nashville Symphony, where they were responsible for implementing comprehensive fundraising programs and increasing the Symphony's Annual Fund. Jonathan also served as the VP, Revenue, overseeing revenue-generating areas and transforming the Food & Beverage program into a profit center. Before joining Nashville Symphony, Jonathan held roles at Nashville Predators & Powers Management as a Human Resources Coordinator and Financial Projects Coordinator. Jonathan also worked as a Business Manager at The Land Trust for Tennessee and as a Marketing (Product) Manager at Whistler's Entertainment Group (WEG). Jonathan started their career as an A&R at Pioneer Electronics/ Pioneer Music Group.

Jonathan Norris has an MBA in Business, with a specialization in Human Resource Management, which they obtained from the University of Phoenix from 2003 to 2005. Jonathan also has a Bachelor's degree in Music Business from Belmont University, earned during the period of 1994 to 1996. In addition to their degrees, Jonathan has obtained the certification of SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in November 2020.
