David Washburn

David Washburn has a strong background in financial services. David is currently serving as the President at FRNT Financial since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of CEO at nChain from April 2019 to October 2021. David also worked at Macquarie Group as the Managing Director, Head of Institutional Equities, Canada from July 2014 to February 2019. Before that, they held the role of Managing Director, Head of Institutional Equity Trading at Desjardins from May 2012 to June 2014. David's early experience includes working in Institutional Equities Sales and Trading at Macquarie Group from September 2005 to April 2012.

David Washburn received their Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences from Queen's University in 1996. David then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physiology & Biophysics from Queen's University from 1996 to 2001. Following this, they completed a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Synaptic Integration at Northwestern University from 2001 to 2002.
