William Freeman III is the Manager of Higher Education Justice Initiative at The Education Trust. Prior to this role, William has held positions such as Program Coordinator at From Prison Cells To PhD and Research Lead at Out for Justice, Inc. William also served as the Fred Patrick Fellow at Vera Institute of Justice. William holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Goucher College and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. William strongly believes in the transformative power of higher education in reducing incarceration rates, having personally experienced its impact starting in prison.
