Jessica Gartenstein is the founder of Frönen, a natural food company that creates non-dairy products with pure and recognizable ingredients. Jessica officially launched Frönen in the summer of 2019 into major retailers including Whole Foods Market & Mariano's (Kroger). Manufacturing Frönen and officially launching and expanding into more retail locations across the US, Jessica is constantly working to make their products available to as many people as possible.
Before starting Frönen, Jessica was a student at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. While there, they won the Edward L. Kaplan College New Venture Challenge, which awarded their $20,000 to build a frozen dessert company. Jessica also participated in the Polsky Center Summer Accelerator, where they received coaching, tactical workshops on various aspects of running a business, and office space at the Chicago Polsky Exchange.
In addition to their work with Frönen, Jessica has also worked as a Summer Analyst for GCM Grosvenor. There, they helped University of Chicago Booth students conduct research case studies for consulting projects, managed teams developing skills for a scalable “solution-to-development” challenge, coded data in Excel, and conducted and organized interviews.
Jessica Gartenstein attended The University of Chicago from 2013 to 2017, where they studied public policy analysis with a law concentration as part of the college and public policy major. Jessica was a research assistant for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a moot court participant, and a Jeff Metcalf Scholar. Prior to their time at the University of Chicago, Gartenstein attended Horace Mann School from 2009 to 2013, where they earned their high school diploma. Jessica is also a certified food manager and handler, and an instructor for ServSafe Food Protection Manager.
