Michael Wood-Lewis has a long history of work experience. Michael began their career in 1991 as a Senior Project Manager at the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. In 1996, they became the Director of Environmental Programs at Public Technology, Inc. Michael then moved on to become the VP Operations at ForestWorld.com in 1999, and in 2000, they became the Executive Director of the Northeast Rural Water Association. Finally, in 2006, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Front Porch Forum, a company that helps neighbors connect and build community.
Michael Wood-Lewis completed their high school education between 1981 and 1983 at R. Nelson Snider High School and Wheaton Central High School. Michael then pursued a Master of Science in Engineering and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1989 and 1991.
