David Takacs

David Takacs is an experienced professional in border security and law enforcement, currently serving as a European Border and Coast Guard Officer at Frontex since September 2017, where roles have included Coordinating Officer, Interim Assistant, and Trainee. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Fellow at the Slovak Security Policy Institute and a Visiting Fellow at the Baltic Defence College. David has also worked as a Research Coordinator for Bucks Students' Union and completed a traineeship at the European Union Law Enforcement Agency. Early career experience includes an internship at the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. Educational qualifications comprise a Border and Coast Guard officer training from Escuela Nacional de Policía, a Cum Laude MSc. in Criminology from KU Leuven, an Erasmus diploma from Mykolas Romeris University, and a Bachelor's degree in Protection of People and Property from the Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava.
