Sean D.

Sean D. is a PhD holder with over eight years of research and communications experience spanning academia, journalism, public service, and private industry. They graduated from University College Dublin with a First-Class Honours BA in International in 2014 and later obtained an MPhil in Public History from Trinity College Dublin. After earning a doctoral scholarship in Modern Irish History at Teesside University, they were awarded their doctorate in February 2020. Currently serving as Editor in Chief at the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), Sean develops and edits strategic communications while enhancing stakeholder engagement and public trust. Prior to this role, they held various positions, including Senior Writer & Editor at Schneider Electric and Senior Communication Associate at EcoVadis, contributing significantly to sustainability and corporate communications initiatives.
