Brian Tran

Brian Tran has a diverse work experience in various research and laboratory roles. Brian is currently a Research Associate II at Frontier Medicines, where they work in chemoproteomics and covalent drug discovery in the field of oncology. In this role, they utilize instruments like RF-MS and Lumos for high throughput intact mass analysis and site of modification assays. Brian also develops and designs assays and experiments based on project needs.

Prior to their current position, Brian worked as a Research Associate at Theravance Biopharma US, Inc., where they supported in-vitro research through assays such as ultrafiltration, binding, and bioanalysis. Brian also used LC-MS/MS instruments like Sciex 4000 and 6500 for quantifying in-vivo samples through the ADME pathway.

Brian's earlier experience includes working as an LC-MS/MS R&D Analyst at Eurofins Environment Testing America. In this role, they analyzed samples for PFAS compounds according to EPA standards, developed novel methods, optimized standard operating procedures, and maintained and troubleshooted instruments like Sciex 5500, Sciex 7500, and Sciex X500 QTOF.

Brian also worked as a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician at Parker Hannifin, where they conducted routine quality checks on manufactured filter products to ensure they met specifications. Additionally, Brian has experience as an Undergraduate Student Research Technician at Bennett Laboratory, where they maintained plants for research, performed molecular biology techniques, and analyzed and presented statistical data.
