Ben McLauchlin

Ben McLauchlin has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the fields of graphic design and education. Ben currently works as a Graphic Web Designer at Frontier Science & Technology Research Foundation, Inc. (FSTRF). In their previous role as a Graduate Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology, they were responsible for documenting and tracking protocols for tracking donations and gifts, as well as maintaining the center's website and leading the art and UI/UX direction. Ben has also worked as a Graphic Designer at George Mason University and the University of Rochester Medical Center. Ben'sexperience extends to public outreach initiatives, as they partnered with Dr. Jessica Hua's ecotoxicology lab at Binghamton University to design and study interactive art exhibitions, a board game, and a children's book aimed at engaging people with science. Additionally, they have held positions as an Art Editor and participated in the Summer Scholars & Artists Fellowship Program at Binghamton University. Early in their career, they gained experience as a Summer Fun Camp Assistant at the Rochester Museum & Science Center, where they ensured a safe and enjoyable summer camp environment for children ages 2-15 and oversaw day-to-day operations of camp activities. Ben McLauchlin attended Brighton High School from 2010 to 2014. Ben then pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree at Binghamton University from 2014 to 2018, majoring in Environmental Studies with a focus on Ecosystems, as well as Studio Art with a specialization in Graphic Design. Subsequently, they went on to complete their Master of Fine Arts degree in Design and Visual Communications at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2019 to 2021.
