Dr Aqeel Shamsul

Dr. Aqeel Shamsul is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Frontier Space since August 2022 and as Vice-President and Co-Founder of the Malaysia Space Initiative (MiSI) since July 2017, which aims to enhance collaboration in the Malaysian space industry. Dr. Shamsul previously held roles as Team Leader and Payload Engineer for BAMMsat on BEXUS from October 2019 to April 2022 and as Head of the Lunar Mission One Malaysia Chapter from May 2016 to January 2019, promoting an international lunar mission. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering and a MSc in Astronautics and Space Engineering from Cranfield University, alongside a B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liverpool.
