Zaria Serfontein

Zaria Serfontein serves as a Product Strategy Engineer at Astroscale since January 2023, focusing on developing processes for future product design and collaboration between commercial and engineering teams. Zaria also holds the position of Co-Founder and Director at Frontier Space Technologies, managing operations and projects related to in-orbit microgravity platforms. As Principal Investigator for the LEOniDAS project at Cranfield University, Zaria led a team to test drag sail systems for sustainability in space missions. Previous roles include a Research Assistant at Cranfield University, a Technical Consultant at CAE Parc Aviation, and an intern at GE Capital Aviation Services. Zaria's educational background includes a PhD in Aerospace Engineering and an MS in Astronautics from Cranfield University, in addition to a BEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Limerick.
