Martina G. is a marine biologist with extensive experience in ocean exploration and conservation initiatives. Current roles include serving as a Workshop Participant and Subject Matter Expert at ICES, a Mariana Arc Volcanic Exploration Scientist with the Ocean Exploration Trust, and a Co-chair of the Ocean Decade Gender Expert Working Group at UNESCO Ocean. Additionally, Martina is a member of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas and holds various positions within IUCN, including on the Coral Specialist Group and Climate Crisis Commission. With a strong educational background in marine biology and digital governance, Martina has transitioned into roles such as Postdoctoral Scientist at Ocean Census and contributing author in the biodiversity section of Frontiers for Young Minds journal. Martina is also re-appointed to the Board of the Society for Ecological Restoration.
