Thomas Gould is currently the Jean Phillips Shibley Professor of Biobehavioral Health and Department Head at Penn State University, where Thomas has served since July 2016. In addition to this role, Thomas Gould is the Associate Director of the Center for Neurotechnology in Mental Health Research and President of the Penn State Department Leadership Council. Since November 2013, Thomas Gould has been a Senior Editor for Neuropharmacology at Elsevier Science and has held the position of Associate Editor for Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience since 2021. Furthermore, Thomas Gould is the current President of the Psychopharmacology and Substance Use Division (28) of the American Psychological Association, a role held from January 2023 to January 2024. Previously, Thomas Gould was a Professor and Director of the Neuroscience Program at Temple University from August 2000 to June 2016, and served as President of the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco from March 2014 to February 2015. Thomas Gould holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
