Thomas Neil is a Senior Publishing Specialist at Frontiers, where since January 2023, work has focused on enhancing the visibility of vibrant research communities within the field of nutrition. Prior to this role, Thomas served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Bristol from July 2016 to December 2022, conducting research on bioacoustics, particularly the interactions of bats and moths. Thomas also completed a PhD at the University of Leeds from October 2012 to June 2016, examining the hydrodynamics of jet propulsion swimming in marine molluscs. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Zoology from the University of Leeds, obtained in 2012.
