Marc Machin

Marc Machin has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology and Services industry. In 1991, they began their career as an Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division. In 1996, they moved to QuickStart Technologies, Inc. as a Senior Consultant, where they achieved Microsoft Certified Trainer status and taught Microsoft SQL Server Administrative and Development courses. In 2000, they joined Referential Integrity Computing Solutions as a Manager of Application Development. After that, they worked at Irvine Technology Corporation as a Senior Systems Engineer from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, they joined LSI as the Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Vice President of IT Service Management. In 2014, they moved to ServiceLink, A Black Knight Company as the Vice President of IT Support Services. In 2021, they became an Information Security Consultant for Self Employed. Lastly, from 2016 to 2021, they were the Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Technology at FrontRunnerHC, where they were in charge of Information Security and compliance for HIPAA and related healthcare industry regulatory requirements. Marc also managed the information technology, security, support, monitoring and uptime of a 24x7 line of business application, and lead the company in successfully completing its first SOC2 audit (and annually thereafter), along with annual HIPAA Risk Assessments.

Marc Machin has a long and varied educational background. Marc first obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1991. Marc then returned to Kansas State University to pursue a Master's degree in Software Engineering, which they completed in 2006. In 2008, they completed a Certificate Program in Management and Leadership for Engineering and Technical Professionals at UC Irvine. Additionally, Machin has obtained a number of certifications, including Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals (2022), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (2022), MCTS - Sharepoint 2010 Configuration (2012), MCTS - SQL Server 2008 Database Development (2009), MCTS - SQL Server 2008 Implementation & Maintenance (2009), and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (2000).
