In 2003, Adrian, with prior experience at Dimension Data, joined the By Word of Mouth team, ushering in a period of significant growth. The company expanded vertically, offering services ranging from equipment rental, event staff, beverages, venues, sport suite management, and floral services to comprehensive event management. By Word of Mouth's prestigious clientele not only encompassed corporate elites but also hosted heads of state, royalty, and Hollywood luminaries visiting South Africa. The company's accolades are a testament to its excellence, including 25 years of recognition as the best caterer by The Star Readers' Awards and international acclaim from the International Catering Association in Las Vegas. In 2014, By Word of Mouth reached a milestone by establishing a 500-seater venue at the heart of Sandton, within the Inanda Polo Club, securing exclusive catering rights at this elite establishment. The journey continued in 2016 when Famous Brands, a Johannesburg-listed company, acquired a minority stake in By Word of Mouth, giving rise to Frozen For You in 2018. In 2020, Karen and Adrian repurchased the minority share, reclaiming full control of their vision. Today, under the banner of Its a Matter of Taste (Pty) Ltd, trading as By Word of Mouth Catering and Events and Frozen For You, this dynamic company boasts a national presence and remains at the forefront of bespoke events and delectable home-style meals. With a dedicated team of over 250 full-time staff, they continue to redefine culinary excellence.
