Dr. Claudia Durmus

Dr. Claudia Durmus has extensive work experience in the food industry. Dr. Claudia has held various leadership roles, including Head of Innovation & Product Management at NovaTaste since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Director at IFF / Frutarom Savory Solutions from 2019 to 2023. Dr. Claudia also served as the Head of Portfolio Management at Frutarom Savory Solutions Austria from 2016 to 2018 and as the Head of Strategic Sales at WIBERG in 2015. Dr. Durmus has taken parental leave twice, once from 2013 to 2015 and another time from 2011 to 2012. Dr. Claudia also worked as a Team Leader in product management and development at WIBERG from 2012 to 2013 and in various roles from 2002 to 2011, including Head of Product Management, Product Development & Technical Sales, Team Leader in product development, and Raw Material Management, and as a Product Developer.

Dr. Claudia Durmus pursued their higher education with a focus on food chemistry. From 1992 to 1997, they attended the University of Münster and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Food Chemistry. Following their undergraduate studies, they engaged in practical training for Food Chemists from 1997 to 1998, which granted their the designation of "State-approved Food Chemist." Building upon their knowledge and experience, Dr. Durmus sought further specialization and obtained a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in Natural Sciences from the Institute for Arteriosclerosis Research between 1999 and 2002.
