Brian Mullan has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Brian began their career at Arcelor Mittal, formerly Copperweld, where they worked as a Program Manager from 1995 to 2002. Brian then joined Lear Corporation as a Senior Product Engineer from 2003 to 2005. After that, they worked at CIBC Corporate Credit Products as an Associate from 2007 to 2010. Brian then moved on to CIBC as the Director of Corporate Credit Products from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they joined Deposit Insurance Corporation Ontario (DICO) and held various roles including Relationship Manager, Senior Manager, Director of Regulation and Risk Management, and Vice President until 2019. Since 2019, they have been working at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) as the Director of Risk Assessment.
Brian Mullan completed their Honours Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Queen's University Belfast from 1989 to 1993. Brian then pursued their MBA at the Ivey Business School at Western University from 2005 to 2007.

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is a new, independent regulatory agency created to improve consumer and pension plan beneficiary protections in Ontario. FSRA was established to replace the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). The agency is flexible, self-funded and designed to respond rapidly to an evolving commercial and consumer environment.
