Chandra Wijaya has extensive work experience in the financial services industry. From 2000 to 2011, Chandra worked as a Senior Manager in the Middle Office - Market Risk Management at the National Bank of Canada. In 2011, Chandra joined CIBC as a Senior Director in Global Regulatory Affairs and Risk Management, a role that lasted until 2019. Currently, Chandra holds the position of Chief Risk Officer at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), where they had previously worked as a Senior Manager in Risk Management and Compliance from 2019 to 2023.

Chandra Wijaya's education history includes a Bachelor of Economics from Universitas Tarumanagara, obtained between 1991 and 1995. They also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from BINUS University from 1992 to 1996. Chandra pursued further studies at the Schulich School of Business - York University, where they obtained an MBA and Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Engineering from 1998 to 2000.

In recent years, Chandra has engaged in various certificate programs and postgraduate studies. They completed a 3-month program on Predictive Analytics and Big Data at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in 2019. In 2020, Chandra obtained a Certificate of Cyber Security Fundamentals from York University School of Continuing Studies and an Applied Data Science Certificate from Columbia Engineering, completing a 5-month and 3-month program, respectively. Chandra also pursued a 6-month program in IT Audit, obtaining a certificate from York University School of Continuing Studies in 2021.

Chandra's interest in emerging fields can be seen through their completion of a Postgraduate Diploma in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from The University of Texas at Austin from 2021 to 2022. They also obtained a Certificate of Quantum Computing from MIT xPRO in 2023. Additionally, Chandra obtained various certifications, including Quantum Programming - Core from D-Wave, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², Innovation Governance Program - Level 3 from the Innovation Governance Program, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), all in 2023.

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is a new, independent regulatory agency created to improve consumer and pension plan beneficiary protections in Ontario. FSRA was established to replace the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO).
