Kristine Dio de Asis is a seasoned professional in the banking and compliance sectors, currently serving as a Senior Compliance Officer at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) since August 2022. With extensive experience at Alterna Savings from November 2005 to August 2022, Kristine progressed through various roles, culminating in the management of a nine-member team in banking services. Responsibilities included coaching staff for optimal service delivery, advising members on financial solutions tailored to their needs, and ensuring branch compliance. Kristine holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Management from Central Philippine University and is currently furthering education at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA)
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is a new, independent regulatory agency created to improve consumer and pension plan beneficiary protections in Ontario. FSRA was established to replace the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). The agency is flexible, self-funded and designed to respond rapidly to an evolving commercial and consumer environment.
