Robert Aro

Robert Aro, CPA, CA, is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in compliance and auditing. Currently serving as a Senior Compliance Officer at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario since July 2014, Aro conducts market conduct compliance examinations and assesses legislative compliance within the insurance industry. Prior roles include Accountant at Neal Temple Professional Corporation, where Aro focused on corporate tax returns and financial statements, and Analyst positions at the Saskatchewan Provincial Comptroller’s Office and the Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan, which involved risk assessments and financial statement consolidations. Aro's early career at Deloitte involved audit planning and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. Aro holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Schulich School of Business and is a member of CPA Canada.
