Tim Furness

Tim Furness is the Head of Finance at Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Tim leads the finance function to help FSCS achieve its overall strategy, with responsibilities including ownership of financial processes, systems, reporting, treasury management, financial governance, and control. As Treasury Manager, Tim is responsible for funding, liquidity management, investments, levy raising, and payments. In their role as Finance Manager, Tim managed the finance team during the banking crisis of 2008/09, overseeing the funding and payment of compensation. Tim previously worked as an Audit Manager at Monahans and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Manchester. Tim also completed education with ICAEW and the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
