Deepthaa Kumar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in program management and renewable energy. Currently serving as the Head of Programs at FSR Global since July 2025, Deepthaa previously held multiple leadership positions at Haqdarshak from April 2016 to July 2025, including President, Vice President, and Assistant Vice President. Early career experience includes roles as Project Lead at Selco Foundation, where product development for portable cold storage and crop drying applications was undertaken, and as a Scientific Assistant at Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, focusing on solar process heat workshops in developing countries. Deepthaa's educational background includes a Master's degree in Renewable Energy from The University of Freiburg and a BE in Electrical and Electronics from BMS Institute of Technology.

FSR Global
FSR Global is an independent regulatory hub of excellence focused on energy transitions in the Global South. Using a system thinking approach we aim at improving the quality of energy regulation by collaborating and co-creating knowledge with multi-stakeholders from the energy sector and beyond. FSR Global was established in India in 2019 to help strengthen the Global South-South and North-South transcontinental knowledge exchange. FSR Global was established with the support of the European University Institute – Florence School of Regulation in collaboration with key Indian stakeholders from the energy sector.
