Sean McDermott

Sean McDermott is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and cybersecurity. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Technology at FTI Consulting since July 2021, McDermott has also held significant roles such as Chief Information Security Officer at Silhouette Consulting Services, Inc. since May 2014. Previous positions include Sr. Advisor and Testifying Expert at The White House, Vice President of Information Security and Digital Forensics at Innovative Discovery, and Cybersecurity Executive Consultant at Cisco. McDermott's career began at T-Mobile, where contributions included the establishment of the Computer Incident Response Team. Educational achievements include degrees from Penn State University and Carnegie Mellon University.
