Agnimitro Chakrabarti, MS, PhD, is a Senior Water Resources/Coastal Modeler at FTN Associates, Ltd., where responsibilities include modeling hydrodynamics and sediment transport for large-scale sediment diversions in the Mississippi River, utilizing FLOW-3D and Delft3D. Previous roles at FTN Associates included modeling hurricane surge effects and hydrodynamics within lock complexes. Agnimitro’s academic background includes a PhD and MS in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University, where experience included developing an Artificial Neural Network tool for chemical process analysis and extensive modeling of fluid-structure interactions and sediment transport. Contributions to research and teaching also include participation in a major NSF-funded project and instruction in Fluid Mechanics.
