Soroush Sorourian Ph.D., Eit

Soroush Sorourian, PhD, EIT, is an accomplished coastal engineer with extensive experience in numerical modeling and hydrodynamics. Currently serving as Coastal Engineer III and Advanced Numerical Modeler at FTN Associates, Ltd. since August 2019, Soroush specializes in multi-dimensional sediment transport modeling and data analysis using High Performance Computing systems. As a Senior Lecturer at the Baha'i Institute for Higher Education since 2008, Soroush has taught various courses in hydraulics and coastal engineering. Previous roles include a PhD Candidate and Graduate Research Assistant at Louisiana State University, where Soroush focused on modeling in the Gulf of Mexico, and Senior Coastal Engineer at Darya-Bandar Consulting Engineers, leading numerous coastal and port engineering projects. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Physical Oceanography from Louisiana State University, a Master's in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the Baha'i Institute for Higher Education.
