Ben Russ

Mr. Russ has served as a member of the board since June 2020. He is the Associate General Counsel – Corporate of Chesapeake Energy Corporation, a position he has held since November 2014. From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Russ served as Chesapeake’s Division Counsel – Southern Division managing day to day legal and operational matters in Louisiana (Haynesville) and north Texas (Barnett). Prior to joining Chesapeake in 2008, Mr. Russ was General Counsel at Gulfport Energy Corporation, where he managed the company’s litigation, SEC compliance, employee stock plan and corporate governance matters. Mr. Russ brings a wealth of legal knowledge to the board including litigation, SEC compliance, and corporate governance matters.
