Annis Steiner

Annis Steiner is the current Principal of Marketing & Communications at FTV Capital. Annis has over 14 years of experience in marketing, communications, and online strategy. Prior to their current role, Steiner served as Vice President of Marketing at Bain Capital Ventures from April 2017 to July 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading marketing and communications programs that drove Bain's Consumer Internet & Mobile and Entrepreneurship initiatives. Steiner also oversaw online strategy, including managing the firm's website and social media presence.

Before Bain, Steiner was the Senior Director of Marketing at Sapphire Ventures from February 2014 to April 2017. At Sapphire, they lead marketing and communications programs for Omidyar Network's Consumer Internet & Mobile and Entrepreneurship initiatives. This included responsibility for the firm's website and social media presence, as well as overseeing marketing and communications for portfolio learning events.

Steiner started their career in marketing at Charles Schwab in 2007 as the Marketing Manager for Institutional Services. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing marketing plans to support Schwab's institutional business. Annis left Schwab in 2011 to join Omidyar Network as the Manager of Marketing & Communications.

Annis Steiner received their B.A. in Foreign Affairs and Annis'story from the University of Virginia. Annis then went on to complete their premedical studies at New York University.

Their manager is Brad Bernstein, Managing Partner. They work with Shoma Nishikawa - VP, Sourcing Technology, Tommy Tighe - Vice President, and Richard Garman - Founding Partner.
