Mark Labarbera

Mark LaBarbera is a seasoned professional in the field of energy and mineral engineering with extensive experience in fuel cell technology and operations. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Power Plant Test & Operations Engineering at FuelCell Energy since August 2013, Mark has advanced through roles including Senior Test and Operations Engineer and Manager of Test and Operations Engineering. In addition to their industry experience, Mark has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Penn State University since 2023. Previous roles include Research Engineer at Point Source Power, where Mark focused on solid oxide fuel cell manufacturing, and Graduate Student at Penn State University, where research encompassed alternative fuels and power generation. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Mineral Engineering and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, complemented by a certification in Web Development.
