Branislav Safarik

Branislav Safarik has a diverse professional background with experience in various roles in the finance and business sectors. Branislav served as the Chief Operating Officer at Fuergy since 2018. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director at TESLA Labs from December 2016 to February 2018, where they focused on supporting innovative ideas and projects. From 2012 to 2016, Safarik held the position of Slovak SME Envoy at the SME Envoy Initiative of the European Commission. Branislav was also the Managing Director and Chairman of the Investment Committee at Národný holdingový fond, s.r.o./National holding fund Ltd. from 2012 to 2016. Furthermore, Safarik served as the Director General at Slovak Business Agency (SBA) from November 2012 to October 2015. Branislav also held various roles at Fond inovácií a technológíí, a.s./Innovation and Technology Fund, Joint-stock company; Slovenský Rozvojový Fond, a.s./Slovak Development Fund, Joint-stock company; and Slovenský rastový kapitálový fond, a.s.,/Slovak Growth Capital Fund, Joint-stock company, where they served as Chairman of the Investment Committee and Chairman of the Managing board, Chairman of the Investment Committee respectively, from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, Safarik worked as an Independent financial advisor from July 2009 to June 2012. Branislav also served as the Director of Regional Representation Bratislava and as a Manager at Slovenská záručná a rozvojová banka, a.s. from 2003 to 2009.

Branislav Safarik obtained a Master's degree in economics "Ing." from the University of Economics in Bratislava, The Faculty of National Economy, from 1997 to 2002. Branislav then pursued additional education in banking, completing The European Foundation Certificate in Banking at The Institute for Banking Education of the National Bank of Slovakia in Bratislava from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, they attended Gymnázium/High School of Ladislav Novomeský in Bratislava from 1993 to 1997, focusing on Mathematics and English. Branislav also received a Certificate in Banking from INSTITUTO DE CRÉDITO OFICIAL (ICO) in Madrid, Spain, in 2007. Lastly, they obtained a Certificate of Proficiency in English from Aspect International Language Academy in San Francisco, USA, in 2006.
