Arturo Valencia

Arturo Valencia has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership and managerial roles within the energy and technology sectors. Arturo currently serves as the Regional Vice President at Fugro, where they contribute to creating a safe and sustainable world through integrated data acquisition, analysis, and advice. Prior to joining Fugro, Arturo worked as an Energy Tech Startups Consultant at Evolve in 2021. Arturo also served as the General Manager at IDEX Corporation from 2021 to 2022.

Arturo has a strong background in the oil and gas industry, having held several key positions at TechnipFMC and FMC Technologies. At TechnipFMC, they were the VP Measurement Solutions Global, Upstream Production Western Hemisphere from 2018 to 2020, and later became the President of Measurement Solutions from 2016 to 2018. During their tenure, they successfully implemented cost reduction strategies, integrated cloud-based solutions, and focused on new product development.

Before joining TechnipFMC, Arturo worked at FMC Technologies, where they held various roles, including VP & GM Measurement Products and Director Latin America, Surface. Arturo led the turnaround of the business, focused on fast-growing markets, and achieved significant market recovery and profitability. Arturo also served as the South America General Manager, Surface Wellhead, where they successfully captured the largest surface contract in the region and improved the profitability of multi-year contracts.

Earlier in their career, Arturo worked at Flowserve as the End User General Manager, Pump Division, and Service and Repair Division General Manager, Pump Division. Arturo also held roles as the National Sales Manager, Power Market Segment, and Operations Manager, Mechanical Seal Division. Arturo started their career at John Crane as the Engineering Manager.

Arturo Valencia completed their education with a Summa Cum Laude in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 1994. Arturo then pursued an EMBA in Corporate Finances at the Universidad de las Américas, A.C. from 2004 to 2006. In 2017, Arturo enrolled in the Yale School of Management's Global Executive Leadership Program, where they completed their studies in Executive Leadership in 2018.
